BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Northern Vermonters are getting their shovels out following a storm that left more than half a foot of snow in some places.
The National Weather Service said 7 ½ inches of snow had fallen on Mount Mansfield in Stowe by early Sunday morning, while Walden had received 6 inches. Four inches were reported in Marshfield and Greensboro.
Forecasters say heavy rains have resulted in flood watches across most of Vermont, and flood warnings in northern sections.
With the storm winding down, Green Mountain Power reported that it had restored power to approximately 12,000 customers, with 100 outages remaining Sunday morning.
